A verruca is a wart caused by a virus. Around 1 in 10 people in the UK will get verrucas, usually before they're 20. If you want to get rid of them quickly ask your pharmacist about treatments involving salicylic acid. Verrucas are contagious, so cover them while swimming or using a communal shower.
